Isabella LaPearl: ANGEL PAYNE Blog Tour ~ Surrendering to Her Sergeant

I am so grateful to my beautiful friend Isabella for having me back on the blog today, celebrating on the release day of my new W.I.L.D. Boys of Special Forces book, Surrendering To Her Sergeant.

I’d asked Isabella’s assistant, a beautiful and amazing woman in her own right, if there were any special things they wanted in the post for today. Rachel’s response was perfect. Since today is Veteran’s Day, why not make this about the men and women who have dedicated their lives to serve us in our nation’s military?

As you likely know, the W.I.L.D. Boys series itself focuses on a fictional set of amazing men who serve in the First Special Forces group, based out of the beautiful Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Tacoma, Washington. My research about the JBLM family has rendered me floored and moved. They are such a strong, steadfast group of people, and I openly salute them, civilian family members included, for their service to our country.

Here’s a few other cool things I’ve learned about JBLM…

--It occupies over 415,000 acres of land.

--It employs over 25,000 people, and is the 3^rd largest employer in the state of Washington.

--By 2016, the base will support 136,124 soldiers, airmen, dependents, employees and contractors, plus 117,000 retired veterans.

--It is one of the most requested assignments in the military.

--It is home not only to the First Special Forces Group, but the Stryker Brigade Combat Teams, I Corps and the 62^nd Airlift Wing.

--It is actually composed of two separate bases due to being so big: JBLM Main and JBLM North.

--It is known for its exemplary training programs that are offered to all branches of the military.

-- During the summer months, JBLM North hosts the Leader Development & Assessment Course, a capstone program for the Army’s ROTC.

As we all know, life in the Special Forces often requires travel, too. For the newest book in the series, the boys are in Hollywood, California—battling not only terrorists, but paparazzi and posers! It’s definitely a different setting than the first two books, and I hope you enjoy this unique adventure that features Ethan Archer, who is a newly-minted Sergeant in this book, as well as Ava Chestain, who you got to meet in Handcuffed By Her Hero.
